An emergency plumber responds to urgent plumbing failures that threaten property damage, health, or safety. Common calls include burst pipes, active leaks, sewage backups, and failed water heaters. The plumber stops the immediate problem, finds out why it happened, and completes a repair. A good emergency repair should last, not just hold until the next failure.
Urgent plumbing failures range from a single broken fixture to a main line break. Chattanooga’s aging infrastructure can make some of these more likely in older homes. Guided by our “No Shortcuts” philosophy, we fix the cause, not just the symptom:
Pipes can fail from corrosion, high water pressure, or worn fittings. Once water is flowing, it quickly soaks into drywall, subfloors, and insulation. We locate the leak, repair the damaged section, and check for the stress that caused it.
When wastewater comes up through a toilet, tub, or floor drain, the blockage is usually in the main line. This needs prompt attention for health and sanitation reasons. We clear the line and find out what caused the backup.
A leaking or ruptured tank can release a large amount of water fast. A failed heater can also leave a home or business without hot water for cleaning and sanitation. We diagnose the unit and repair or replace it.
We don’t just “check” your plumbing; we analyze it. Our process is designed to give you a clear roadmap of your home’s health without the pressure of a sales pitch.
Contact our office during standard business hours (8am–4pm) to book a dedicated time slot. We respect your schedule and arrive ready to work.
We examine every accessible point of the system. From main shut-off valves and exposed supply lines to the burner assembly on your water heater.
You receive a detailed breakdown of our findings. We explain the difference between a "suggested upgrade" and a "critical repair," allowing you to make informed decisions.
If we identify potential failure points, we help you plan for maintenance or upgrades on a timeline that fits your budget.

We handle burst pipes, overflowing toilets, sewage backups, and failed water heaters. Our goal is to stop the damage and restore normal use of your home.
A drainage failure can stop a kitchen in the middle of service. We resolve high-demand drain problems to help keep you operating. See our Restaurant Plumbing page for more.
Offices, retail spaces, and multi-unit buildings can’t afford long shutdowns. We prioritize active leaks and backups during business hours. Learn more on our Commercial Plumbing page.
The best emergency plan starts before anything breaks. Find your main water shut-off valve now, so you can reach it quickly. Turning it off stops the flow and limits damage while you wait for help. Most valves turn clockwise to close; lever-style valves need a quarter turn.

Piper’s Plumbing is one I’d highly recommend! Ian came and did a thorough inspection where we discussed future plans for my home’s plumbing, things I wasn’t aware of, and immediate needs so we can tackle each bit by bit. He sent over the estimate promptly and we got some work scheduled. He came and went and all of a sudden, my plumbing functioned as it should! When you think of plumbers, you think: I have a problem and they will come and fix it. Piper’s Plumbing is special because we strategized much more than that. We reviewed anything plumbing wise that was not ideal and created a plan to tackle over the next year. I highly recommend this company for both immediate and long-term plumbing needs!Posted on Google![]()

Chris installed two floating sinks for me, and the quality of his work was outstanding. He handled everything from relocating the plumbing to the correct height to securely connecting the sinks. His attention to detail and craftsmanship really showed throughout the entire job. I've used other plumbers in town before, but after working with Chris, he's the only one I'll be calling for any future plumbing needs. He's reliable, does excellent work, and is someone I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.Posted on Google![]()

These guys are phenomenal! We just moved into a new build townhome on Sunday and had been without hot water due to an issue with the hot water tank for 4 days. We have a 22 month old toddler and an 11 day old newborn so this was really difficult. After speaking with these gentlemen on the phone and mentioning that we have such young children, they offered to work extra late that same day and come straight from the site they were previously at. Keep in mind, we lived an hour away. They showed up promptly and fixed our water heater within an hour! Very friendly guys and worked urgently for us. We could not recommend them enough!!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. No. We handle urgent repairs Monday through Friday, 8am–4pm. If a problem happens after hours, shut off your main water valve to limit damage, then call us when we open.
Shut off the main water valve or the valve for the affected fixture. If water is near outlets or appliances, turn off power to that area if it’s safe. Move valuables away from the water and take photos for insurance.
During business hours, we prioritize active flooding and sewage backups. Timing depends on our schedule and your location, so we’ll give you a realistic arrival estimate when you call.
Cost depends on the type of failure, its location, and the parts needed. We diagnose the problem first, then give you an upfront quote before any repair begins.
